Theo & Jed Hit a Homer!

This is a simple post.  Just one quick topic.  The Theo & Jed show have brought Kerry Wood back to the Cubs.  Smart move guys!!!!  Cubs fans want someone like Wood on the team.  Fans of other teams may not understand how much love many Cubs fans have for Wood, but there is no doubt that he is probably the best liked player on the team currently.
So, with that said, Theo & Jed hit a homerun getting Woody back.  If he were to go anywhere I would have wanted him in Cincinnati.  I like what the Reds have to offer in 2012.  But thank God he is still a Cub!

Many baseball fans are rooting for Kerry and if he’s going to make it, best he be in a Cubs uni!

What was the contract for in years and dollars? I agree with you that it was a great move for fans, but I’m just curious how much they spent.

Mateo, the Cubs signed him to a 1 year deal at $3 million with a team option for 2013 for the same amount.

I’m glad he is back, but it’s because he had a good year in 2011 and most importantly, the price was right. I don’t want the same-old same-old just because he is a fan favorite, which he is.

They need to do things differently on the north side than they have been doing for the past 30 years. This teams needs complete rebuilding.

I truly miss the Harry and Steve years. Those were einirtanteng broadcasts. Now it’s like watching the Today show.

He’s a Cub, and it’s good he’s back in Chicago. If the Cubs aren’t contending, he might be traded by the deadline to a team that is, then maybe come back for 2013. I know the Tigers were looking at him, but he’s better off as a Cub.

@Wrigley, I completely agree with you. He had a good season last year as a setup man, but can close every now and then when needed. Plus, the price was right.
@Michael David, I can see him being traded to a contender this season and I would be fine with that. But he will always be one of my favorite players regardless of what team he plays for.
